Cookies & storage.

What Fat Genie stores on your device, what is necessary, and how visitor analytics are handled.

Necessary sign-in storage

When you sign in, Fat Genie uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in and protect the account. This is necessary for the service you request.

Preferences

Fat Genie uses small amounts of first-party browser storage only to remember choices you make or provide a feature you have requested.

  • Orientation preference: the orientation itself uses no persistent identifier merely to decide whether it has already appeared during your current page-load visit. If, on the home page, you choose “Do not show me this orientation again”, we store a small local preference flag on your device so we can honour that choice on later visits. It contains no account content, advertising identifier or browsing history, is not sent to third parties, and is used only for this preference. It remains until you clear Fat Genie site data or switch the preference back on from the home-page Orientation control.
  • Visitor-analytics preference: where you switch visitor analytics off, a small preference may be stored so the site can remember that choice.

These preference stores are not used for advertising, cross-site tracking or profiling.

Visitor analytics

Floot visitor analytics are configured to use a non-persistent, memory-only visit identifier by default. Fat Genie does not intentionally set a persistent analytics cookie or advertising tracker. Where storage or access is used only for permitted statistical purposes, we provide the information and controls required by law. If we introduce non-exempt storage, we will ask for any consent required before it is used.

Your choice

You can turn visitor analytics off from the privacy notice. You can change the orientation preference from the Orientation control on the home page, or clear Fat Genie site data in your browser. Blocking necessary sign-in storage may stop signed-in areas from working.
